"PEAS was a new experience for me. It brought science more to my attention, and it was exciting for the children and a 'Wow' experience for me."

"I've been working with children for almost 10 years and science just never was my go to. But now that I've actually had experience with PEAS, I feel like I would be more willing and capable of actually teaching science to young children. So if I had to create a lesson, I would say I would feel better prepared because I would have the knowledge that I've gained to use.”

“[PEAS] opened my mind further to what teaching science can be. Because honestly, when I was in school, science was my weakest subject. I just found [PEAS} to be overall just exciting. I learned with teaching little children, it's notall about that technical, you got to know what Y stands or X stands for, or the whole periodic table. I'd say with them it's just letting them explore and expanding on what they know and what they're thinking and adding to it.”

“They might not know it was PEAS, that name, but they'll remember, oh, I remember we did this at that age. That was fun. I remember we ate the vegetables. Vegetables are healthy for you. Yeah. That was just good.”"

"Now, when it's time for lunch, we can talk to children about foods, like how healthy foods are to our bodies. We can incorporate letting them know that plants are grown from the ground. I want to say some children won't try certain foods because they don't eat it at home. oming to the school and with the PEAS program, it helps us to get children to taste and to look at foods in a different way. And I think that he more a child is introduced to a food, I think that they would be more likely to start to eat it."

"I liked PEAS because it was hands on and I also liked it because the [Teaching Guide and Science Teaching Kit] were right on target. They kept me motivated because it had the stories, pictures cards, etc. I did not have to search for extra things to add to the program because it was there in that kit, and that saved a lot of time for me. If the day wasn't going well or I was tired just worn out at the end of the day, it was helpful to just have to go to the guide and kit and pull out the information that I needed to teach a lesson.”
